Ziko first learned to mix in Cairo, where he was influenced by the city's flourishing underground bass-music scene. There he started organizing house parties with Beat Craft, a collective with a pan-European identity, whose members are now based across Paris, Rome, Lisbon and Amsterdam. Repeated stints living in the UK have influenced his electronic palette, and he spent his formative club years in the late 2000s dubstep era frequenting grimy Nottingham clubs. Committed to pushing listeners' curiosity without sacrificing danceability, he leans towards groovy, percussive techno and trippy tech house, but always appreciates a fat break.
