evissimax
what is your show called?
GYR8 with evissimax
what kind of sounds, scenes and styles can we expect to hear on the show?
techno/ hardgroove/ rap/ ghetto/footwork
what influences have shaped your approach to the show?
the chicago footwork/juke scene, the ghettotech legends, 2000 atlanta rap, 90s hardcore, afrobeat from any time period, hardgroove , and so many more are my inspiration for my mixes, so with show i wanted to showcase the variety of sounds and genres not only within my mixes but with the guests i’ve had on and will have on
if your show could transport your listener to any location at any time, where would it be?
damn that’s so hard. I would say any atlanta club in like 2008 was probably insane, i wish i got to experience that club culture in person
can you share one key highlight that you’ve shared with the foundation.fm airwaves?
it actually wasn’t for my show but for drybabe's, they called me on for a guestmix while i was in London for a few days, and we had so much fun, and it’s just a reminder of how amazing it is to be able to connect with artists you really appreciate through music, i also met yemz through foundation, we’re cousins now hahaah so
if you could manifest one dream guest, who would it be?
dj travella, he’s a genius. I’m so obsessed with his work love to have a guest mix by him
