what is your show called?
mystery of love
what kind of sounds, scenes and styles can we expect to hear on the show?
mystery of love will be a show exploring deep soulful dance music, electronica and jazz. with a different guest each month, i will also explore the eclectic tastes of interesting figures within music and arts. i’ll be asking them to share three songs that they love. a song that reminds them of a person, a place and a moment in time.
what influences have shaped your approach to the show?
my passion for soulful house music has been an evolving love affair ever since i heard s.e.x by omar s at a festival in 2014. 2 years later, i heard “mystery of love” by dream 2 science and until this day it remains my favourite song of all time. as i deep dived into the genre i of course came across mr fingers “mystery of love” which is one of the most recognisable bass lines in dance music. so i thought it was the perfect title for a show, where i could explore the far reaches of this genre.
if your show could transport your listener to any location at any time, where would it be?
either a sunset/sunrise on a balearic beach or to a new york summer street party.
can you share one key highlight that you’ve shared with the foundation.fm airwaves?
coming down to the studio for the first time and playing my first show with foundation and dancing to peven everett.
